Hi North Castle Hills Neighbors!

We are fortunate to live in this vibrant neighborhood with so many nice people. The pride we take in the neighborhood is evident by the we constantly update our homes, maintain landscapes in beautiful shape and take care of the common areas in the neighborhood.

North Castle Hills was established in the mid-1970s and we still have one legacy homeowner living here. The names of the streets all have British connections due to the neighborhood's proximity to Churchill High School. Our homes are all custom homes and the first builders here were Schaefer and Burdick, two well-known San Antonio developers. A few of the builders actually built homes for themselves and lived in North Castle Hills for many years.

Today our location is really at the center of San Antonio. You can get to the airport, medical center, downtown San Antonio and even the San Antonio Missions in about 10-20 minutes. You cannot find a more centralized place to live in San Antonio. The custom-designed homes are now surrounded mostly by mature oak trees and sit on larger lot sizes. Also, you may have noticed that all of the utilities are underground so our streets have a clean, uncluttered look.

One of the best features of North Castle Hills is that there are no direct through streets, which helps keep traffic to a minimum. That also makes it a lot safer for kids in the neighborhood.

Our homeowners association (HOA) is voluntary at this point. The HOA dues are only $75 per year. The majority of those funds goes to keeping the perimeter landscape cut and picked up. Currently, we have about 55 percent of our homeowners paying those dues, so that is something we need to work on in the future.

Many people pay their dues at the annual picnic which is now happening in October. If you haven't paid your dues for the coming year, we would encourage you to do so. You can send them to HOA Treasurer Liz de los Santos at 12106 Chevening, SATX 78231. Please make checks payable to North Castle Hills Homeowners Association.

We have an annual meeting/picnic and a few other special events during the year like National Night Out and a neighborhood garage sale or two when organized. If you haven't participated in those outings, we would encourage you to do so. You'll quickly find very friendly people living here. We have business owners, lawyers, doctors, teachers, nurses, military personnel, retired homeowners and other professionals living here. Also, there have been about 10-12 new families move into North Castle Hills over the last couple of years. A few of them are from outside of Texas. We are glad you're here!

The HOA does have a board and we are currently in the process of working up a new slate of officers for the coming year. See the listing of officers below.

If you want to learn a little more about the focus of the HOA, you can visit the business page on this website.

A Little Help Please

If you have more background on our neighborhood's history, please send us an email, and we will be happy to update this background information. We do have a great story to tell and we'd love to hear your ideas about how we do that.
